STOWE, VT

FOURRUNNER QUAD (DOPPELMAYR/CTEC) - Installed in 2011 to replace the aging original Doppelmayr Fourrunner Quad. It is
named for Stowe's fabled Front Four trails that it serves.


LOOKOUT DOUBLE (RIBLET) - This 1979 Riblet double chair gave the mountain problems when first installed but
since an early rebuild remains in impecable condition.


MOUNTAIN TRIPLE (DOPPELMAYR) - Built in 1985, this lift goes midway up Mt. Mansfield.


TOLL HOUSE (DOPPELMAYR) - This double chair built in 1983 to replace the Toll House T- Bar
goes up the left shoulder of Mt. Mansfield.


GONDOLA (POMA) - Built in 1991 to replace the orginal gondola, this new 8 passenger lift starts lower than the
original gondola but terminates in the original summit gonolda house. The Original base gonodla house was converted
into the midway lodge.


OVER EASY TRANSFER GONDOLA (LEITNER/POMA) - Built in 2006 to connect Mt Mansfield with Spruce Peak
eliminating the need for the shuttle.


SUNNY SPRUCE (LEITNER-POMA) - Built to replace the Little Spruce double in 2004.


MEADOWS QUAD (DOPPELMAYR) - Installed in 2014 to replace the Alpine and Easy Street doubles.


ADVENTURE TRIPLE (LEITNER-POMA) - This lift was added in 2004 to provide access to new housing and provide additional
beginner terrain.


SENSATION QUAD (LEITNER-POMA) - This high spped quad was built in 2005 to replace the Big Spruce double.
It follows a liftline slightly to the right ending lower than the original summit so it can operate in higher winds.


FORMER LIFTS

ALPINE DOUBLE (DOPPELMAYR) - One of two Double Chairs built in 1982 to create a true leaning area at Spruce peak.
The lift was removed in 2014 along with the Easy Street Double. It has been replaced by the Meadows Quad.


EASY STREET DOUBLE (DOPPELMAYR) - One of two Double Chairs built in 1982 to create a true leaning area at Spruce peak.
The lift was removed in 2014 along with the Alpine Double. It has been replaced by the Meadows Quad.


FOURRUNNER QUAD (DOPPELMAYR) - Built in 1986, this was the first detachable quad in the east. It replaced both the
fabled Mt. Mansfield single and double chairs. It was replaced with the new Forerunner Quad in 2011.


MOUNT MANSFIELD SINGLE (AMERICAN STEEL AND WIRE) - The first chairlift in Vermont, Stowe's single was built
in 1946 and had the capacity of 200 skiers per hour. It was later supplemented by The Mount Mansfield Double Chair than later
replaced by the Forerunner Quad in 1986.


MOUNT MANSFIELD DOUBLE (RIBLET) - Built in 1960 to supplement the Single chair. Notice in the 3rd picture the original
Spring loaded footrests that released from below.


GONDOLA (PHB/HALL) - Built in 1968 the gondola section provided much needed reliable intermediate skiing. This
lift was replaced in 1991 by the new 8 passenger gondola.


BIG SPRUCE DOUBLE (ROEBLING) - Built in 1954 this was the first double chair in Vermont. It was modified
with new Poma chairs in the 1980's but remained mostly original until removed in 2005 and replaced by a Leitner-Poma
high speed quad.


LITTLE SPRUCE DOUBLE (RIBLET) - Built in 1963 this lift ran reliably until its retirement in 2004 when replaced with a
High Speed Quad. We are happy to bring you a virtual trip of the old lift from top to bottom. In the first picture notice,
the original ticket booth from when the lift first opened.


SPRUCE PEAK ALPINE LIFT (ROEBLING?) - Built in 1950 to access the Little Spruce area of Spruce Peak . It was replaced in 1982
by the Alpine double. This was the initial lift built by Starr in the Spruce area and the first step towards his vision of a European ski
experience. Spruce featured wide trails and a different feel than Mansfield.
