SNOWBIRD, UT

TRAM (GARAVENTA) - This 120 passenger tram was built by Garaventa from 1969 to 1971. It was the first tram to have double
loading doors. The tram was upgraded in 2000 with a new drive cable, new control and breaking systems.


PERUVIAN QUAD (DOPPELMAYR/CTEC) - This quad replaced the Peruvian Double for the 2006/07 season.
It terminates higher than original lift ending below the steepst Chip's Run. The lift terminates at the Man Made
tunnel with internal conveyors shuttling skiers between the Front Side and Mineral Basin.


CHICKADEE (THIOKOL/CTEC-GARAVENTA) - A Thiokol center pole built in 1972 to service a practice slope and the Cliff Lodge.
A new deck was built over this chair in summer 2004 and the wooden cover has been removed. This lift has been modified by
CTEC/Garaventa over the years. The saftey bars with footrests are removed and hung on the wall behind when snow is "too deep."


GADZOOM QUAD (CTEC-GARAVENTA) - This detachable quad was built in 1997 to replace the GAD 1 double.


MID-GAD (DOPPELMAYR/DOPPELMAYR-CTEC) - Originally built by Doppelmayr in 1980, This chair used to have a
an older Doppelmayr drive but was modified with a Doppelmayr-CTEC galaxy drive.


GAD2 (DOPPELMAYR) - Built by Doppelmayr in 1972, this chair accesses great terrain off the summit of GAD peak.


WILBERE (DOPPELMAYR) - Built by Doppelmayr in 1971, the chair provides access to fun bump runs on the front and connects the Tram
with the GAD bases without having to ski the cat-track.


MINERAL BASIN (CTEC-GARAVENTA) - Added to the back in 1999 this chair opened up terrain in Mineral Basin and
ultamitly permitted the Alta interconnect.


BALDY EXPRESS (CTEC-GARAVENTA) - Built in 2001, the Baldy Express connects the bottom of Mineral Basin
on Snowbird with Alta ski area.


LITTLE CLOUD QUAD (DOPPELMAYR) - This high speed lift was Installed in 2012 to replace the Little Cloud double chair.


FORMER LIFTS

LITTLE CLOUD (DOPPELMAYR) - Built by Doppelmayr in 1980, you could ski under the tensioning system of the bottom
terminal! It was replaced in 2012 with a high speed Quad.


PERUVIAN (DOPPELMAYR) - Built in 1976, this chair was removed in summer 2006 to make way for a new
highspeed quad. The quad goes higher than the double ending at the new tunnel into Mineral Basin. Pictures
2-6 show the chair being dismantled.


GAD 1 (DOPPELMAYR) - Built in 1971, this chair was replaced in 1997 with the Gadzoom highspeed quad. Shown
is the original loading station.
